Salon du Chocolat
presents
Chocolaterie Van Dam
Chocolaterie Van Dam was
established in 1995 in North Holland, near Amsterdam, by
Willem Van Dam.
Behind Van Dam's chocolates is an obsession with the highest quality
ingredients, a modern style
with clean lines, use of freshest ingredients, and a limited number of distinctive
fillings. Van Dam believes
that fresh ingredients and effective processes,
coupled with a close knit team
that is quality-focussed, provides the right basis to create new combinations
and flavors. Particular favorites include Kaneel (cinnamon),
Mokka (Mocha), Creme Menthe
(fresh mint), Advokaat (a Dutch cream liqueur), and Darjeeling
(a delicate tea flavor).
The Van Dam chocolates are made to order and delivered to Salon du Chocolat literally hours after each order is completed. Because of the fresh ingredients and use of no preservatives, shelf life is limited and smaller batches are ordered on a more frequent basis. His chocolates are offered in several to regional restaurants, and Van Dam also offers Salon du Chocolate customers chocolate-making demonstrations and lessons through his workshop in the North Holland village of Heemstede.
