Salon du Chocolat
Directions
Salon du Chocolate is located in the north part of 'Centrum', between the Prince's Palace and Panorama Mesdag. The best source for step-by-step directions and thumbnail maps is www.routenet.nl; though in Dutch, it is relatively straightforward to enter the beginning and end addresses.
Following is a local streetmap for Salon du Chocolat:

This map shows a wider area, beginning from where the A12 enters the city:

Text directions: The primary routes into the city (from Rotterdam, Utrecht, and Amsterdam) are via the A12 or the N44. The two routes meet up in the map above, where the N44 has become Zuid-Hollandlaan. A large field will be on your left ('Malieveld'), while a large red-brick 1920's building is in front of you. This building has been affectionately dubbed De Rode Olifant, or the Red Eliphant, as the tower looks like a trunk and the 4 corners look like the elephants legs. You'll get the idea when you see it.
From N44, pass the Red Eliphant on your right, the A12 on your left. From the A12, take a left when it ends at Zuid-Hollandlaan. Take your next right when Zuid-Hollandlaan ends at a T-junction on Koningskade. You need to keep to your left after the turn, as you will be making a left at the next light (approximately 100m after the right-hand turn). Take a left at the light on to Mauritskade, and proceed about 700m. There is a nice canal on your right, with twin white manor houses also on the right. After the second house you will see 'Caesars Sports' on the right, facing a 'Hubo' shop on your left. Take the next left on to Noordeinde, and the shop is 50m down on the left. Parking is usually available on the street or nearby, but remember to pay for a parking coupon and display it on your dash. The parking police are diligent!
If you encounter problems, please feel free to call the shop and we'll do our best to get you here.
